Linda Johnson
Clinical Psychologist

Linda has over 20 years experience working as a Clinical Psychologist, with the last ten years being in private practice where she enjoys working with a wide range of clients experiencing personal and/or interpersonal difficulties. As well as working in private practice, she has worked in student counselling services at Edith Cowan University, and in hospital and outpatient services with elderly patients.  Prior to providing psychological treatment Linda worked as a researcher for The Centre for Clinical Research in Neuropsychiatry (CCRN).  WA’s leading centre for research into severe mental disorders.  She has also managed a psychiatric hostel and worked at Graylands Psychiatric Hospital. Linda enjoys working with adults, adolescents and children.  She has significant experience in the assessment and treatment of people with complex and traumatic histories.

Linda is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing  (EMDR).  She also uses Mindfulness and Schema Therapy. Her therapeutic approach is tailored to the needs of her clients. Her approach is collaborative and she uses evidence based psychological treatments in a focused and timely manner.
